Stalis and Stalida are the same village, spelled two ways. It sits on Crete's north coast between Hersonissos and Malia, about 30 km east of Heraklion airport. Look for the blue-and-white stripes on the beach.

Getting here

By car, by bus or barefoot along the beach

  • By car

    From Heraklion airport take the national road east towards Hersonissos and Malia and exit for Stalida, about 30 minutes. Free parking is about a 10-minute walk from Ocean.

  • By bus

    The coastal KTEL bus between Heraklion, Hersonissos and Malia stops in Stalida.

  • Along the beach

    Staying in Stalida? Walk along the sand and look for the striped walls, the palm and Poseidon at the door.

Before you come

Do I need to reserve a table?

Walk-ins are welcome all day. For dinner in high season, or for groups, we recommend calling ahead on +30 695 5922922.

What are your opening hours?

We are open every day from 10:00 until 01:00 during the season, from morning coffee on the beach to late cocktails.

Do you have vegan or vegetarian dishes?

Yes. Vegan and vegetarian options are part of the menu, and the team is happy to advise on allergies and adaptations.

Is there outdoor seating?

Most of Ocean is outdoors: a beachfront terrace with tables, lounge seats and shade, plus the covered Seaside lounge for the hottest hours.

Are the sunbeds free?

Yes. Sunbeds and umbrellas on our stretch of Stalis beach are free for guests who order food or drinks, and the waiters bring your order to the lounger.

Is there Wi-Fi, and can I pay by card?

Free Wi-Fi for guests, and cards are accepted.

Is Ocean family-friendly?

Very. There is a kids menu, highchairs are available, and the beach is right there for the time between courses.
